The standard of cosmetic and plastic surgeons in Turkey is second-to-none. There are extensive and strict requirements to become a practising surgeon and these are on par with countries like the UK and Australia.

After graduating from medical school, Turkish doctors must sit exams to qualify for the Cosmetic Surgery Specialist Program.  Residency to become a cosmetic surgeon. After six and a half years of training, successful students are awarded the title of Certified Plastic Surgeon, MD.

In Turkey, all cosmetic surgeons must be members of the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery.  This is an organisation that aims to advance the industry through scientific studies and provides international educational standards for Turkey’s plastic and reconstructive surgeons.

For cosmetic dentistry, dentists must be members of the Turkish Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry.

Turkey’s Ministry of Health regulates all clinics and hospitals in ensuring they meet strict standards and requirements.
