Wherever an incision is made, there will be a scar. The incisions around the face are around the hairline and ear and are generally small, hidden, heal well and fade over time. The scar under the chin from the neck procedure will fade over time as well. You can still wear your hair back, such as in a bun or ponytail, after your face and neck lift, although scars may be more visible wearing your hair this way, especially at first.

Swelling increases after surgery and can peak around day 5 or 6. After this, swelling should ease and you’ll find swelling should be gone around 4 weeks post-operation.
