This is critically important, because you only have a limited number of follicles, making them too valuable to waste.
Hair transplant costs in Turkey tend to be around 30% to 50% less than what you’d pay in the UK or Australia – even with the added costs of flights and accommodation.
And while you are saving on price by undergoing your hair transplant in Istanbul, you are not compromising on the quality of your healthcare. Our skilled surgeons have executed some of the best hair transplants in Turkey.

A hair transplant is a surgical procedure which aims to restore hair growth to areas of the body (most commonly the scalp or eyebrows) with limited or no growth.
The surgeon moves grafts, or small pieces of skin, from a part of the body where there is high hair density (the donor area) to an area with thin, balding or no hair (the recipient area).
The most common methods for hair follicle transplant surgery are the FUE and DHI techniques.
The surgeon removes healthy, individual hair follicles from the donor area (often the back of the head where the hair tends to be thicker) and transplants them into the recipient area (i.e. the area with limited or no hair).
The extracted follicles will then promote hair growth on the new area.
A hair transplant involves the following key steps:
- Donor & Recipient Area Marking: Your surgeon will mark the donor area(s) and draw out your new hairline (the recipient area).
- Anaesthesia: Your surgeon will apply local anaesthetic to both the donor area and recipient area. As a result, you won’t feel either the harvesting or the implantation.
- Harvesting / Extraction: Depending on the method used, your surgeon may shave the area on your head that’s being harvested. This provides them a clearer view of the hair follicles. They will then remove individual hair follicles from the donor area (usually the back of your head) and place them into a nutrient-rich solution.
- Implantation: Your surgeon will carefully determine the direction of hair growth and the spacing between each follicle, forming the channels for the hair grafts to be transplanted into. They will then carefully implant each hair follicle into your skin, following the natural direction of growth. This process takes several hours, as each follicle must be carefully implanted at the correct angle, to achieve a natural-looking result.
Following your procedure, we will check on the implanted grafts, as well as any bleeding or swelling.
We will advise you on how to care for your head and how best to sleep. We will also provide a comprehensive aftercare plan and medication.
After the surgery, your scalp may be very tender and you may need to take pain medication for several days. You will be required to wear bandages over your scalp for at least a day or two.
You will have a follow-up in-person appointment the next day to check the healing process. You will also have phone access to nurses in the UK and Australia.
Hair transplant recovery time is generally 2 to 5 days after the procedure – at which point you can return to work. However, healing can take up to 10 days.
Your transplanted hair will fall out within two to three weeks of your surgery, which is completely normal. This allows for new hair growth.
Most people will experience 60% of new hair growth after 6 to 9 months.
The most common hair transplant side effect is scarring. However, the incisions are so tiny and will be covered with new hair growth, that any scarring will barely be visible.
Other potential side effects include:
• scalp pain, itching, and swelling
• inflammation of hair follicles (folliculitis)
• bleeding
• infections
• crust or pus drainage around the surgical sites
• loss of sensation around the surgical sites
In most cases, hair transplants are permanent and will last for the rest of your life.
Once the healing process is complete, the new roots start sprouting hair naturally and will continue to do so.
However, in some cases, the new hair follicles may gradually (usually after several years) start producing less hair than they did initially, so additional ‘touch up’ surgery may be required.
Hair transplant pricing can vary greatly, according to the number of grafts required. However, at Asthetica our costs remain extremely competitive – no matter your requirements.
Our prices start from just £1350 for a hair transplant procedure and are a flat fee, regardless of the number of grafts you may require. Many companies charge per the number of grafts that you require, which can ultimately lead to their services becoming expensive. With Asthetica, whether you require 2000 grafts, 5000 grafts or more, the price will remain the same.
We remain transparent about our pricing and our inclusive packages to ensure you are informed at every stage.

DHI Hair Transplant Financing Options

A DHI hair transplant is a cutting-edge surgical procedure which involves the immediate transplantation of healthy hair follicles from an area of the body with high hair density (the donor area) to an area with thin, balding or no hair (the recipient area).
DHI stands for Direct Hair Implantation. This method differs from other hair transplant techniques in the way that the grafts are implemented. Using state-of-the-art technology, this innovative technique allows the grafts to be inserted in a single step, without the need to open any channels prior to implantation.
The procedure is minimally-invasive, less painful and results in minimal (if any) scarring compared with other techniques.
Unlike other hair transplant methods which require the surgeon to manually open channels (slits) in your skin (most often the scalp) before implanting the hair follicles, the DHI technique works by transplanting the hair follicles (or grafts) in one single step.
This is done using a state-of-the-art Choi implant tool (or pen) with a hollow needle.
DHI hair treatment involves the following key steps:
- Donor & Recipient Area Marking: Your surgeon will mark the donor area(s) and draw out your new hairline (the recipient area).
- Anaesthesia: Your surgeon will apply local anaesthetic to both the donor area and recipient area. As a result, you won’t feel either the harvesting or the implantation.
- Harvesting / Extraction: The DHI technique does not require your hair to be shaved and the procedure is minimally invasive. The surgeon will extract the hair follicles (grafts) one by one from the donor area (usually the back of your head where the hair tends to be thickest).
- Implantation: The hair follicles (grafts) are then individually inserted into the Choi pen. This device allows the follicles to be directly implanted by pressure into the recipient area, without the need to create channels or slits in the skin.
This optimises the survival of the grafts, minimises intrusion, and reduces the healing period.
Your surgeon will carefully determine the angle, direction and depth of hair growth, as well as the spacing between each follicle.
This process takes several hours, as each follicle must be carefully implanted at the correct angle, to achieve a natural-looking result.
The DHI technology for hair transplants is the most advanced in world, allowing for a less invasive surgery, a less painful recovery and a faster healing process.
DHI is the least invasive and the least painful hair transplant technique.
While pain tolerance varies from person to person, generally patients experience very little pain.
The area will be fully anaesthetised during the procedure, so you won’t feel any pain or discomfort. After the procedure, you may experience some discomfort or soreness in the treated area, but you will be given pain relief medication for this.
You may experience some mild itching, swelling and bleeding.
We will check on the implanted grafts following your procedure and advise on how best to care for the area. You will receive a comprehensive aftercare plan, as well as any required medication and access to registered nurses in the UK and Australia.
Post-surgery, the area may be tender, but you can generally return to work 2 to 5 days later.
2 to 3 weeks after your procedure, your transplanted hair will fall out, which allows for new hair growth and is completely normal.
The results of your hair restoration will be visible in 6 to 9 months post-surgery.
As DHI does not require any incisions, there is no permanent scarring. Temporary scarring is possible, however it is rarely seen and generally disappears within 5 days.
Potential side effects include:
- scalp pain, itching, and swelling
- inflammation of hair follicles (folliculitis)
- bleeding
- infections
- crust or pus drainage around the surgical sites
- loss of sensation around the surgical sites
With Asthetica, DHI hair transplant prices start from just £1350 and are a flat fee, regardless of the number of grafts you may require.
Many operators charge by the number of grafts that you need, which can ultimately lead to the procedure becoming expensive.
Please note, however, pricing will vary depending on your country of origin (which impacts flight costs) and your package inclusions (e.g. additional excursions, extended accommodation stays, etc.).
We offer complete transparency around our pricing and package inclusions, to ensure you are fully informed and comfortable.
A micro FUE transplant is a surgical procedure during which healthy hair follicles are removed from an area of the body with high hair density (the donor area) and implanted into an area with thin, balding or no hair (the recipient area).
Unlike the more invasive surgeries (such as the FUT / FUG / FUSS techniques, where the hair follicles are extracted by a strip method), with FUE hair treatment, the grafts are removed and implanted manually as individual follicular units.
The FUE technique works by transplanting each hair follicle (or graft) individually.
With Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE), hair is harvested through microscopic circular incisions on the donor area, then transplanted back into the scalp through a series of small incisions.
FUE hair transplant surgery involves the following key steps:
- Donor & Recipient Area Marking: Your surgeon will mark the donor area(s) and draw out your new hairline (the recipient area).
- Anaesthesia: Local anaesthetic is applied to both the donor area and recipient area, meaning you will feel neither the harvesting nor the implantation.
- Harvesting / Extraction: Your surgeon will first loosen the healthy hair roots in the donor area. Microneedles are used to help prevent damage to the hair follicle and to allow for extraction without affecting the surrounding hairs. Your surgeon will extract the hair follicles (grafts) individually from the donor area (usually the back of your head where the hair tends to be thickest). The hair follicles are removed with the highest level of precision, though in a random fashion, allowing your surgeon to harvest hair from the donor area with less noticeable thinning of the area.
Following extraction, the follicular units are placed in a nutrient-rich solution that ensures their vitality.
- Implantation: Implantation is completed via a range of miniscule incisions. The depth of incision matches the length of the follicular unit, thus preventing lesions to the blood vessels in the recipient area.
Your FUE hair transplant doctor will take great care to insert each hair at an angle that matches the natural hair growth of the area – and at a volume and density similar to your existing hair.
When the follicles are transplanted, they attach to the cells around them and are nourished by regular blood flow, just as they were before being removed.
The recovery process after FUE surgery is relatively straight-forward.
After the surgery, your scalp will be quite tender and you will be wearing bandages on your scalp for about a day. However, you should be able to return to work between 2 and 5 days post-surgery.
2 to 3 weeks after your procedure, your transplanted hair will fall out through shock. Although the hairs will have gone, the follicles will remain and will start to regrow properly.
You will receive a comprehensive aftercare plan and any required medication. In addition to the clinic staff, you will also have phone access to UK and Australian registered nurses.
As the implant incisions are so tiny, there is no permanent scarring. Temporary scarring is possible, however it is barely visible and generally disappears within 5 days.
Potential side effects include:
- scalp pain, itching, and swelling
- inflammation of hair follicles (folliculitis)
- bleeding
- infections
- crust or pus drainage around the surgical sites
- loss of sensation around the surgical sites
You will see some of your hair shed within a few weeks of surgery. After this initial shedding phase, your roots will begin to grow new hair.
As a general rule, it takes between 3 and 4 months for you to see new growth, and up to 6 to 9 months for you to have about 80% hair growth.
Yes, FUE is a very safe, effective and proven procedure.
Many operators base their fue hair transplant costs on a per graft basis, which can become expensive, but at Asthetica we charge a flat fee, no matter how many grafts you may need.
Our FUE hair transplant prices start from just £1,350, however this will vary depending on your flight costs and package inclusions. For example, you may wish to extend your stay or go on specific tours.
No matter what you opt to do, our pricing will remain competitive – and transparent.
Average Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) costs in the UK and Australia are 30-70% higher than what you’d pay overseas, even when factoring travel and accommodation costs.
The cost savings coupled with the standard of treatment is why many people looking to undergo a FUE hair transplant in the UK or Australia, end up travelling overseas (usually to Turkey) for the procedure.
With the right surgeon and proper aftercare, a FUE hair treatment can last a lifetime.
The areas where hair follicles are taken from are not genetically programmed to drop out, so as a general rule, FUE results are permanent.
However, in rare cases, new hair growth may slow several years down the track, when additional ‘touch up’ surgery may be required.

What is rhinoplasty surgery?
Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure which can alter the size, shape and profile of your nose. It is commonly referred to as a ‘nose job.’
During surgery, bumps / humps can be removed; a deviated nose can be straightened; a broad nose can be narrowed; and nostrils can be resized or reshaped. The tip of the nose can also be refined and reangled.
The procedure involves removing any excess bone and / or cartilage and reshaping the remainder.
The key types of rhinoplasty include:
Closed Rhinoplasty: This is the most common type of rhinoplasty, as it is less invasive, yet can deliver significant results.
All the incisions are hidden inside the nose and the surgery is performed inside the nostrils, preventing any visible scarring.
This surgery is generally completed faster than open rhinoplasty and there is less nasal tissue irritation, which means healing and recovery time is usually shorter.
Open Rhinoplasty: Also known as external rhinoplasty, this type of surgery is more invasive and is often used for patients who require more extensive work on their nose.
This technique is usually suited to patients who have structural nasal issues or who have suffered severe trauma to the nose.
Tiny incisions are made both inside the nostrils and on the fleshy column between the nostrils (the columella). This enables the surgeon to lift the skin from a large portion of your nose, allowing access to the inside of the nasal cavity, so more significant changes can be made to the structural parts of the nose.
Revision Rhinoplasty: Revision, or secondary rhinoplasty, applies to any patient who has previously undergone a rhinoplasty procedure, but requires improvement to the appearance and / or function of the nose.
It is sometimes performed with septal surgery (the straightening or reshaping of the central cartilage and internal bony framework of the nose) and may use either the open or closed technique.
Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty: As the name suggests, this type of procedure is non-surgical and is performed using injectable filler (usually hyaluronic acid).
The filler is injected underneath your skin to smooth out the appearance of the nose and address any minor aesthetic issues.
This procedure is usually completed within 15 to 45 minutes with no downtime required.
Unlike traditional rhinoplasty, the results of non-surgical rhinoplasty are not permanent, generally only lasting between 6 and 18 months.
Closed rhinoplasty is generally far less invasive than open rhinoplasty. This often means a shorter procedure time, less swelling and a speedier recovery.
During a closed rhinoplasty procedure, the incisions and surgery are performed inside the nostrils.
Closed rhinoplasty is usually recommended for patients who only require small structural changes to their noses.
Open rhinoplasty, on the other hand, is performed from outside of the nose. A small incision is placed on the tissue between the nostrils (the columella), in addition to the incisions inside the nostrils – allowing greater visibility and access to the entire nose structure. This can result in a tiny hairline scar between the nostrils, however it is often barely visible.
This method is often used for more complex cases that require a more significant reshaping of the nose.
Consultation & Planning: We will have an in-depth consultation to discuss your exact goals, anticipated results and possible surgical limitations. This is an essential part of pre-surgical planning and every care is taken to ensure you are fully informed and your surgeon has a solid understanding of your requirements.
Your nose will be meticulously examined by your surgeon, who will address factors such as whether the nose deviates to the left or right; the placement of the nostrils and the overall structure of the nose.
They will also consider your other facial features and review your full medical history.
If you're a candidate for surgery, your surgeon will develop a customised plan for you.
Photographs will be taken before surgery to help with preoperative planning and to compare with postoperative results.
Anaesthesia: Patients are usually put under general anaesthetic (fully asleep), but in some cases they may be put under twilight sedation.
Surgery: As a general rule, in addition to the surgeon and the anaesthesiologist, a nurse and a surgical technician will also be present during your surgery.
The surgeon will make a small incision inside your nostrils – as well as through the base of your nose (the columella) if you are undergoing an open nose job.
They will then sculpt the bone and cartilage underneath your skin to shape your nose. If more cartilage is needed, it can often be taken from deeper inside your nose, or from your ear.
Once the nose has been re-sculpted, your surgeon will replace your skin and tissue over the cartilage and then stitch up the incisions. They will then tape your nose and place a splint on the outside of your nose to protect it and reduce swelling as it heals. Splints or dressings may also be placed inside your nostrils and a ‘drip pad’ (a small piece of gauze held in place with a strip of tape) may be placed under your nose to absorb drainage of mucus and blood.
Rhinoplasty surgery generally takes between 1.5 and 3 hours.
Following your surgery, your nose will likely be congested due to swelling and / or from the splints / dressings placed inside your nostrils. The splint, dressings and stitches usually remain in place for up to 7 days.
Internal swelling of the nose usually subsides within a few weeks, however it may take up to 12 months for you to see the final results of your surgery.
Slight bleeding and drainage of mucus and old blood are common for a few days post-surgery, or after removing the dressing.
You may also notice some swelling and bruising around your eyes and cheeks, however this should subside within 5 to 10 days. The use of icepacks can help to reduce swelling.
Rhinoplasty recovery time is generally 1 to 2 weeks, but the amount of downtime required is ultimately up to the patient.
Our medical specialists will talk you through the recovery process in detail and we will also provide you with a comprehensive aftercare pack, including medication.
All surgery carries some degree of risk.
Common side effects following your surgery include:
- pain or discomfort
- swelling
- bleeding
- bruising
- loss of sensation around the surgical sites
Other possible complications associated with rhinoplasty include:
- anaesthesia risks
- nosebleeds
- infection
- permanent numbness around the nose or your front teeth
- reduced or (in rare cases) a loss of sense of smell
- scarring
- skin discolouration
- narrowed airways resulting in impaired breathing
- unsatisfactory appearance, requiring further surgery
With Asthetica, rhinoplasty costs on average 30-70% less than what it does in the UK or Australia – even when factoring in travel and accommodation costs.

Liposuction is a procedure which slims and reshapes areas of the body by removing excess fat deposits from below the skin through a suction technique.
Liposuction can target specific areas of the body where there is stubborn fat that is resistant to diet and exercise – and permanently remove those fat cells.
This procedure will contour your body, blending in with your natural shape and improving your proportions.
Traditional liposuction works by using a power assisted suction cannula to break down and remove unwanted fat from specific areas of the body.
The procedure is successful as a fat reduction technique because it permanently removes fat cells.
Once we reach adulthood, the number of fat cells we have stays more or less the same; we do not reproduce new cells. Therefore, as the remaining fat cells in the treated area cannot multiply and replace those that were removed, the correction is permanent.
If you do gain weight following the procedure, your fat distribution may change; the fat will typically grow in untreated areas of the body.
However, it’s important to note that although post-surgery you will have fewer fat cells in the treated area, the remaining fat cells in the area can increase in size. Nevertheless, since they cannot multiply, the increased size of the fat deposit that area would be limited by the reduced number of cells – so any increase of fat in the treated area should be substantially less than what it would have been prior to liposuction.
Traditional liposuction can remove up to five litres of fat during one session and has a low complication rate. It is possible to undergo multiple procedures to remove more fat deposits, however these must be done a few days apart and with great caution.
There are different types of liposuction available – please find more information on these below.
Tumescent Liposuction
This is the most common procedure for liposuction. ‘Tumescent’ means ‘swollen’ and the procedure involves using a sterile solution to swell the fat cells, making them easier to identify and remove.
The solution used contains a mixture of saltwater, an anaesthetic (lidocaine) which swells the fat cells and a drug (epinephrine) that constricts the blood vessels and can significantly reduce bleeding.
It involves the following steps:
• The solution is injected into the area that needs to be treated.
• This causes the fat cells to swell up and become stiff.
• Your surgeon will then make a small incision into your skin and insert a small needle called a cannula.
• The cannula is connected to a vacuum that suctions out the fat from the targeted area.
Suction or Power-Assisted Liposuction (PAS)
Power or suction-assisted liposuction (SAL) is the oldest type of liposuction and involves using a mechanised cannula and moving it rapidly in a back-and-forth motion. This creates a vibration under the skin that helps to break down the fat tissues.
This form of surgery is often used to remove large volumes of fat. It is the cheapest form of surgical liposuction with a long history of success, however it can cause more pain and bleeding than other techniques.
Laser-Assisted Liposuction (LAL)
Laser is another technology used to assist in breaking up fatty tissue as part of a liposuction procedure.
Laser-assisted liposuction adds another step to the traditional liposuction process. Once the tumescent fluid has been administered into the treatment area, rather than immediately removing the unwanted fat with a suction cannula, a laser probe is first used to break down the fat so it can be more easily extracted.
The procedure involves the following steps:
• Your surgeon will insert tumescent fluid into the treatment area.
• They will then pass a laser fibre beneath the skin. This emits high-intensity laser beams which liquify the fat.
• Once the fat is liquified, a traditional suction cannula is used to remove it.
The laser-assisted method is more gentle than traditional liposuction, which usually means less bruising and swelling. Also, the heat generated from the laser can stimulate the skin to produce new collagen, which can result in some tightening and smoothing of the skin.
Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction (UAL)
Ultrasound-assisted liposuction liquefies the fat in the same way as the laser-assisted technique, but does so with ultrasonic vibrations rather than with lasers.
Ultrasound-assisted liposuction – also known as ultrasonic liposuction – involves the following steps:
• Your surgeon will make small incisions in your skin and insert a cannula which is energised with low-frequency ultrasound.
• The ultrasonic vibrations burst the walls of the fat cells and emulsify the fat, making it easier to extract.
• The liquified fat is then removed through a traditional suction tube.
This method is often used for fibrous areas which might otherwise require an additional treatment – such as the back, flanks and saddlebags – and in areas where liposuction has been done before.
Some of benefits associated with UAL are reduced blood loss, swelling, and bruising; skin tightening; and ease of procedure for the surgeon. A larger volume of fat can be safely removed using this method, as the fat is liquified. It’s also a popular option when transferring fat to other parts of the body (e.g. the buttocks or breasts), as it safely collects the fat cells without damaging them.
However, ultrasound-assisted liposuction requires a slightly larger incision than other methods, in order to accommodate the ultrasound device. This could mean an increase in time and complexity. Although small, there is also the risk of burning, nerve damage, and scarring.
This method is commonly known under the brand name VASER – referred to as VASER liposuction.
Liposuction recovery times can vary depending on the type of procedure, the treatment area, the type of anaesthetic administered and your level of physical activity.
We will be able to advise you on your expected recovery time once we’ve stablished the variables listed above.
Most patients are able to resume their daily routine within a couple of days. However, it is generally recommended to avoid any strenuous activity for a minimum of 2 weeks.
Yes – when performed by a well-trained, experienced surgeon in a reputable hospital or clinic.
Liposuction is a very popular procedure with a long history of success.
However, as with any surgery, there are risks involved.
Liposuction surgery is generally safe, but as with any surgery, it does have the potential for complications to occur.
The risks of liposuction increase if the treated area is large in size, or if a high number of areas are treated at the same time.
Common liposuction side effects include:
• Bruising and swelling (which can last up to 6 months)
• Inflammation
• Minor scarring
• Numbness (which can last up to eight weeks)
• Short-term pain or discomfort
Less common liposuction risks include:
• Lumpy or uneven results
• Hematoma (bleeding under the skin)
• Seroma (fluid leaking under the skin)
• Infection
• Persistent numbness
• Skin necrosis (death of skin cells)
• Skin pigmentation changes
• Friction burns caused by the cannula movement
• Blood clots
• Fluid imbalances
• Complications associated with the anaesthetic
• Thermal burn or other heat injury to the skin or deeper tissues from the ultrasound device. This can occur in ultrasound-assisted liposuction
Liposuction costs in the UK and Australia are relatively high, which makes the procedure unattainable for many people.
This is why at Asthetica, we send our clients to our world-class surgeons abroad, who can perform the surgery at a fraction of the cost – without compromising on the standard of care you receive.
Each year thousands of people opt for cheaper liposuction by travelling to countries such as Turkey and Thailand.
At Asthetica, our liposuction prices vary according to the type of procedure, the treatment area and flight costs (which are determined by your country of origin and your chosen destination).
However, our clients generally save between 30% and 70% on the cost of the procedure – even including flights and accommodation.
Please contact our friendly team for a more accurate quote.
There are several factors which must be considered when deciding on which type of liposuction is right for you. Under the guidance of your surgeon, we will talk you through the various options.
Factors to consider include:
• Treatment areas
• Amount of excess fat to be removed
• How much recovery time you can accommodate
• Whether you can go under general anaesthetic
• Whether you require skin and tissue tightening in addition to lipo
• Your budget
Liposuction results vary; many patients report seeing results immediately after surgery, while others don’t notice any visible changes for a few weeks.
Keep in mind that results may be hidden by any swelling and your body needs time to heal.
As a general rule, you can expect to see final results between 1 and 3 months after the surgery.
It is important to note that liposuction is not a treatment for obesity, an effective treatment for cellulite, or a substitute for proper diet and exercise.

Beard transplants work by transplanting hair follicles from an area of the body with healthy hair (the donor area) and transplanting them to your jawline, or wherever you want your beard or moustache to grow (the recipient area).
At Asthetica, we use the FUE beard transplant technique, which involves harvesting follicular units one at a time from the donor area. This technique is one of the least invasive procedures and offers a shorter healing process.
Local anaesthetic is applied to both the donor area and recipient area, meaning you will feel neither the harvesting nor the implantation of your hair follicles.
A beard transplant generally takes about a week to 10 days to heal.
Following the procedure, you may experience soreness, swelling, itchiness and redness around the treated area. The area may also feel numb. These symptoms should subside within a week.
10 days post-surgery your transplanted grafts should be permanently fixed so you can start shaving normally and trimming your new beard. However, it’s important to follow your beard transplant aftercare instructions carefully and protect your beard from damage.
Potential beard transplant side effects include:
• soreness, itching, and swelling
• inflammation of hair follicles (folliculitis)
• redness and bleeding
• crust or pus drainage around the surgical sites
• numbness around the surgical sites
Less common beard transplant risks include:
• infection
• cyst formation
• visible scarring
Beard transplant recovery time is generally a week to 10 days.
Yes, a beard transplant is a safe, effective procedure with a proven history.
However, as with any medical procedure, there are associated risks.
Many operators base their beard transplant costs on a per graft basis, which can ultimately become expensive. At Asthetica, however, we charge a flat fee, no matter how many grafts you require.
Our beard transplant prices are extremely competitive, however they do vary according to your custom package inclusions.
Beard transplant costs in Turkey are 30-50% less than what you’d pay in the UK or Australia, even when factoring in the additional travel and accommodation costs. Not only is Turkey cheap, but it is also the world’s most popular destination for beard transplants.
While Turkey is our number 1 destination for any form of hair transplant, we do understand that you may have an alternative destination in mind. We also partner with leading surgeons in Thailand, South Africa, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Many people choose to travel to Turkey as not only are beard transplant costs significantly lower that what you’d pay at home, but the quality of the results is generally on a par, if not even higher.

Eyebrow transplants involve a procedure similar to that of a hair transplant. The process works by taking donor hair from an area of healthy, dense hair, (usually the back of the scalp) and grafting it into the eyebrows to create the desired shape and make them fuller.
At Asthetica, we use the FUE hair transplant technique, which involves transplanting the hairs individually from the donor area. As one of the least invasive procedures, the FUE technique offers a number of benefits, including:
• Minimal scarring
• Less discomfort
• Faster recovery
Local anaesthetic is applied to both the donor area and recipient area, to prevent pain during the harvesting and implantation of your hair follicles.
Eyebrow transplant recovery time is typically 7 days, however most patients can resume normal activities after 3 to 5 days.
Eyebrow transplant side effects can include:
• soreness, itching, and swelling
• inflammation of hair follicles (folliculitis)
• redness and bleeding
• crust or pus drainage around the surgical sites
• numbness around the surgical sites
Following surgery, small crusts will appear around each hair and then fall off, leaving pink spots. These spots usually fade within a few weeks.
With Asthetica, the average cost of eyebrow transplant is 30% to 50% less than what you’d pay at home – even including flight and accommodation costs.
Istanbul is our primary destination for the procedure, as it is home to some of the most experienced surgeons and eyebrow transplant costs in Turkey are so low by comparison. However, we can also offer the procedure at some of our other international clinics.
Our eyebrow implant prices are inclusive of all medical appointments, a 3-night stay in a luxury hotel and all transfers. Our pricing is extremely competitive, but will of course vary according to any additional inclusions (such as an extended stay, tours and excursions).
Please contact our friendly team for an accurate quote.
With a reputable surgeon and the right aftercare, eyebrow transplant results should be permanent.
In rare cases, years down the track new hair growth may slow, but usually the results are permanent.

Breast implant or breast augmentation surgery is a cosmetic and/or reconstructive procedure to enlarge the breasts creating a fuller, more rounded appearance.
Implants are inserted beneath or above the breast muscle to increase the size of your breasts and/or restore volume. Asthetica’s expert cosmetic surgeons only use the highest quality anatomical or round breast implants and use precision techniques to ensure correct positioning and shape.
In our experience, we have found the most common reasons women opt for breast implant surgery are:
- Enhance the fullness and contour of the breast
- Enhance the symmetry and balance of your figure
- Even up asymmetric breasts
- Improve breast volume after pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Reconstruct the breast following an injury or medical procedure, such as a mastectomy.
The size and shape of a women’s breasts can create a sense of insecurity and negative body image. Breast augmentation surgery can provide a convenient solution by creating fuller, larger breasts.
If you are over the age of 18 and are in good health then you are generally a suitable candidate for breast implants.
It’s important to be realistic about your desired outcome and in some cases, an alternative surgery may be advised. For example, your desired outcome may mean that a breast lift and breast implants would be advised. The best way to ascertain your suitability for a breast implant surgery is to book a complimentary call with one of our friendly team who can discuss your options with you.
- Subglandular – above the chest muscles, below the breast tissue.
- Submuscular – below breast tissue and chest muscles.
If an implant is placed above the chest muscles (subglandular), natural breast tissue will cover it. For women with insufficient breast tissue, subglandular may not be the best option as the placement will likely not look or feel natural.
For implants placed below both breast tissue and chest muscles (submuscular), the only thing that can be felt is the natural breast tissue. This makes the placement look more natural and can help hide imperfections like wrinkles and ripples that occasionally appear with saline implants.
Implants are round or teardrop shapes.
- Round breast implants don’t impact symmetry as they rotate freely and can improve your cleavage.
- Teardrop breast implants have more volume in the low part and more closely mimic a natural breast shape.
Our surgeons will discuss which option may be best for you, depending on your natural breast shape and desired outcome.
At first, you may feel your breasts sit too high and the skin will feel tight. This is quite normal. Swelling and settling can take several months and the final result will not be apparent until after this time. A high majority of our patients are very pleased with the final result, but it can take a while to get used to your new breasts. Sometimes there can be more or less sensation in your nipple and this can change over time. It’s likely you will need to purchase new bras that appropriately fit your new breast size and shape.
- Wear a support bra (no underwiring) for at least six weeks.
- Do not lift anything heavy for four weeks.
- Avoid sex for at least two weeks.
- Avoid vigorous exercise for six to eight weeks.
- You should only drive once you feel safe and comfortable wearing a seatbelt, but we also advise checking with your car insurance company.
As part of our comprehensive aftercare plan, we will advise you on how to manage tenderness, swelling and treating the area. You will also have phone access to UK and Australian registered nurses once you return home.
If you have breast implants, a little weight gain should not have any effect on the implants or results of your boob job.
While it can vary from person to person, a little weight gain or loss generally doesn’t have any change in the appearance of your implants.
If you have gained more than 8kg, then this may lead to a change in the appearance of the implants. This is because more fatty tissue around the breasts can change the breast shape, symmetry and texture.
Significant weight loss can make the breasts look wrinkly or have a ‘crepe’ appearance, due to the lack of underlying fat that previously supported the skin and implant.
You may require a cosmetic review if you have significant weight gain or loss.
It is not uncommon for some women to gain some weight after breast implant surgery. Generally, this weight gain is temporary and is only around 1-2kgs. Some of this weight gain is due to the implants in your body, but there are other factors that can account for the weight gain, including:
- Swelling. There will be some swelling in the area after your procedure which can account for some of the weight gain.
- Fluid retention. It is quite common to retain fluid after a breast augmentation and as you heal, this will subside.
- Lack of activity. You will be unable to exercise for a few weeks after your procedure and you should wait at least XX months before undertaking strenuous exercise. It’s important to get plenty of rest during recovery so this lack of movement can account for some of the weight gain.
Breast implants are an invasive cosmetic procedure which means that some scarring will be inevitable. Our specialist cosmetic surgeons will endeavour to minimise scarring as much as possible and keep them inconspicuous. Incisions are usually made along natural skin lines which means they are easier to hide. Scars generally fade over time but if you are prone to scarring, please let us know during your consultation.
There are different types of breast implants. Two of the common types of breast implants you may have heard of are saline and silicone.
Silicone breast implants. Filled with silicone gel, these implants provide excellent durability and cohesion making them soft, light and long-lasting. They have a very natural look and feel and there is less chance of a ‘rippling’ effect. The drawback is that if the implant leaks, silicone can escape into the breast pocket. While the implant will not collapse, it is important to get them checked to make sure they are still intact.
Saline breast implants. Filled with sterile saltwater, these implants provide firm and uniform shape. Unlike silicone implants, any leak of the saline is immediately noticeable as the implant collapses. Saline can be naturally expelled by the body, meaning they are considered a safer implant option. They also require smaller incisions than silicone implants which means there is less scarring, however, there is a higher likelihood that they can rupture.
This is a very common question! To answer this, it’s important to note that natural breasts feel different – some are small and firm, some are large and soft. What’s important is what you want your breasts to feel like after surgery.
Generally, silicone implants provide a softer, more natural-looking feel and appearance. Saline implants are considered firmer and not as ‘squishy’.
Our cosmetic experts can discuss implant options with you depending on the look and feel you would like
Breast implants are measured in cc’s which are generally equivalent to weight in grams. So, a 250cc breast implant weighs 250grams.
Your breast implants should look and feel natural and shouldn’t cause any back or shoulder pain.
As a general rule, it's reasonable to expect your breast implants for around 10 years if not more. In some cases, breast implants can stay in good condition for up to 20 years.
You may see a change in their appearance over this time relating to changes in your body shape or problems with your implant, such as leaking.
Every person is different, and the longevity of your implants will depend on a variety of factors. It’s important to note that implants are not a lifelong solution.

Known as mastopexy surgery, a breast lift is a procedure that raises and firms the breasts.
The procedure involves the removal of excess skin to tighten the surrounding tissue and the surgeon then reshapes the breast and breast tissue to have a more attractive contour.
The best breast lift results are in women with small, saggy breasts. While breasts of any size can have an uplift, the results may not last as long for women with large, heavy breasts. Our cosmetic specialists will assess your condition and general health and then advise on the best treatment suitable for you.
A good candidate for a breast lift surgery includes people who are:
· In good physical health
· Have fully developed breasts (please note our surgeons do not perform procedures on people under the age of 18)
· Have droopy or sagging breasts that have lost their firmness
· Have flatter, longer breasts that have lost their shape
· Have nipples that fall below the breast crease (when not wearing a bra)
· Have stretched skin with nipples that are angled downwards
· Have one breast that sits lower than the other breast.
Breast uplift is a highly individualised procedure and doesn’t necessarily suit everybody. Here are a few things to know prior to having the surgery:
· It doesn’t significantly change the size of your breasts. If you would like larger breasts, you may want to consider a breast augmentation or alternately, a breast reduction for smaller breasts.
· Women with large, heavy breasts may not experience long-lasting results.
· The size and shape of your breasts will influence the type of breast lift most suitable for you as well as the outcome.
· You should wait at least six to twelve months after you have finished breastfeeding prior to having a breast lift surgery.
· If you intend to have another child, it’s advised to wait until you have completed your family before opting for breast lift surgery to ensure you have optimal and longer-lasting results.
While breast lifts do not generally interfere with breastfeeding, pregnancy and nursing change the shape of breasts due to the respective stretching and shrinking process. At Asthetica, our surgeons recommend waiting for around twelve months after you have finished breastfeeding to ensure the breast has settled back to its normal shape.
Without surgery, there aren’t many alternatives to lifting the breasts, other than using a padded bra.
Other breast surgeries include a breast augmentation, also known as a boob job or breast implants; and a breast reduction, known as a reduction mammaplasty.
Scarring depends on the type of uplift surgery you have. Regardless of the type of breast uplift you choose, scars shouldn’t be clearly visible when you wear normal clothing, including a bra, once fully recovered
Your breasts will be covered with gauze and a surgical support bra. There may be small tubes at the incision sites to drain any excess fluid or blood.
Drainage tubes are typically removed within a few days. When our surgeon removes the tubes, they will also change or remove your bandages.
You will sore and swollen for around two weeks and will need to wear the support bra (with no underwire) for 23 hours per day for around 3 – 6 weeks. It’s quite common to feel pain around the incision site which will be red and raised for a few months. You may also feel numbness in your nipples and areolae which may last for around 6 weeks.
In the first few days after your surgery, take pain medication as provided or recommend by our medical team.
- Avoid bending and lifting objects.
- Sleep on your back or your side.
- Avoid sex for at least two weeks.
- Wear the surgical support bra 24/7 for four days after the procedure, or as advised by the surgeon. Then you'll wear a soft support bra for four weeks.
- Do not expose the area to sun and heat
- Avoid alcohol for a week
- Avoid strenuous exercise for 6 weeks
Our doctors will advise when it's suitable to resume daily activities and exercise.
Some stitches will need to be removed, some will dissolve on their own. Our medical team will discuss this with you.
A breast lift makes boobs appear perky and lifted, while a breast augmentation increases the size of the breast by using implants.
Yes! Our surgeons can do both of these procedures at the same time. Simply book a call with our friendly team to discuss what you’re looking to achieve - we can provide you with more information and answer any questions you may have.
If you want to know how to lift up sagging breasts or how to tighten your breast skin, then a breast uplift is the answer.
If your breasts are droopy and sagging, or you feel self-conscious about the shape and position of your breasts, then it could be an ideal solution for you.
Simply book a complimentary call with our friendly team and we can answer any questions you may have.
If you are thinking of getting a breast lift, we recommend waiting for 6 to 12 months after you have finished breastfeeding. This is to allow sufficient time for the breasts to settle back into shape and ensure optimal results from the surgery.
In most cases, a breast lift should last for 10 years or so but results vary from person to person. The size and shape of the breast prior to surgery, ageing, weight gain or loss, pregnancy and breastfeeding are factors that can impact the longevity of your breast lift results.
Like any surgery, results don’t last forever. Skin stretches as we age and so it’s natural that breasts will begin to sag over time.
You may find that mastopexy surgery (breast lift surgery) can reduce the size of your breasts. On average, a decrease by one bra cup size.
A reduction mammoplasty, or breast reduction, is a breast reduction where excess skin, tissue and fat are removed and the nipple and areolae are lifted to a higher position. Areolae are often reduced so they are more proportional to the new breast size. A breast lift is also incorporated to create a perkier appearance.
- Have a healthy diet and take regular exercise
- Be as close to your ideal weight as possible and keep your weight steady
- If you smoke, stop at least six weeks before the operation to reduce the risk of wound healing problems
- Stop taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory and non-prescription medication a week before your surgery in consultation with your GP.
- If you wish, you can take photographs of your breasts for your medical record
A breast reduction usually includes reducing the breast horizontally (lifting upwards) and vertically (narrowing a wide breast). The incisions will be vertical, horizontal and around the nipple to reposition it. The surgeon removes fat, mammary gland tissue, and excess skin to create smaller breasts with less weight. The skin and tissue that is left is reshaped into a smaller, higher breast and the nipple is put back in place.
The scars are around the nipple, vertical from the areolae to the under the breast and in the crease under the breast. Scars should not be visible when you wear normal clothing, bras and bikini tops.
If heavy breasts are giving you discomfort, make sure you are wearing a professionally fitted bra that provides proper support. Other alternatives include changing your lifestyle, such as losing weight, although this may not have a significant effect on the size of your breasts.
You can book a free call with our friendly team who can talk you through the breast reduction surgery process and answer any questions you may have at this initial stage.
You don’t need to have a particular breast size to be eligible for a reduction. If the size of your breasts affects your everyday life, then breast reduction surgery may be a good option for you. You can contact our friendly Asthetica team and we will be able to answer any questions you may have.
A breast reduction is permanent, although breast size can fluctuate with weight gain, weight loss, pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Your breasts will be covered with dressings and there may be tubes under your arms to drain any excess fluid. You may experience some pain immediately after your surgery, including numbness, and you will likely be given medication to reduce pain and infection. Swelling and bruising are quite normal after the surgery. The surgeon may recommend a compression bra to protect your breasts – this will be discussed with you. The removal of your stitches will be discussed with you in your follow-up consultation.
You should also note:
- Light activity can resume after 2 weeks
- Normal exercise can resume after six weeks
- Avoid sexual activity for two weeks
- Avoid underwire bras for 3 months after surgery
Yes as scars form at the incision site. However, scars shouldn’t be clearly visible when you wear normal clothing, including a bra, once fully recovered.

Breast reduction surgery is a relatively safe procedure but has risks and complications, like with any surgery. You may have temporary pain and bruising in the breasts, as well as scarring which should fade over time. For more information about the risks of breast reduction surgery, please see our other FAQs.
There are several methods to reduce scarring after breast reduction surgery:
- Use surgical tape for a couple of weeks to keep the skin closed.
- Silicone sheets over the incision area can keep scars hydrated and soft. The sheets are breathable and help prevent bacteria and irritation.
- Gently massage the area with scar gel or a silicone oil-based cream to help to flatten the scarring. Only do this once the scab or incision has healed. Daily use is recommended for several months to achieve results.
- Wear a supportive bra 24/7 for 6 weeks. This is essential when recovering from breast reduction surgery. Make sure it is not underwired.
Abdominoplasty is a cosmetic surgery that removes fat and flabby skin from the abdomen and reassigns detached abdominal muscles. Best results are achieved if you are fit and healthy and close to your ideal weight.
Yes. There are various types of tummy tuck surgery, including full abdominoplasty or a mini-abdominoplasty. Your surgeon will help you determine the most suitable procedure based on your medical history and your desired outcome.
Surgery time varies depending on what tummy tuck procedure you have. You can expect the procedure to take between 2 to 5 hours.
Compared to other techniques a mini-abdominoplasty is the least invasive for people with the least excess flabby tissue. A short incision is made on the lower abdomen just above the pubic bone to remove excess skin. Repositioning of the navel and stomach muscles is not required. Best candidates for a mini-abdominoplasty are those with only a small amount of loose skin and excess fat.
A tummy tuck and abdominoplasty are the same things. Tummy tuck is the well-known informal word, while abdominoplasty is the medical term.
The type of surgery you have will determine your recovery time. In most cases, expect a 2-3 week recovery period, although it can take approximately 6 weeks to feel healed and more agile. You should feel comfortable to return to work 2 weeks after surgery. You will be fully healed around 3 months post-surgery.
Like with any surgery, there are risks and complications. Asthetica aims to minimise risks where possible, which is why we partner with select private hospitals with licensed, highly skilled surgeons. We also provide local support for when you return home post-surgery with English and Australian registered nurses on hand, ensuring that your wellbeing and surgical success remains first and foremost our priority.
After your surgery, you should expect to feel some pain, discomfort and possibly nausea. There will be swelling and bruising, and you may experience a pulling or tight sensation in the abdomen. All these symptoms are normal and will go away in due course. You will need to wear a compression garment for around 6-8 weeks.
Abdominoplasty or tummy tuck is surgery that removes hyper-elastic skin and fat from the abdomen. If needed, the naval is reassigned to another position. If there are muscles that have distended over time they will be sutured back to their original optimum position.
- Stop smoking at least 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after surgery.
- Stop taking blood-thinning medications, including aspirin. However, consult with your GP prior to stopping or changing any medications.
- Engage in a thorough and transparent consultation with your surgeon about all the possible risks.
- Share your medical history with your surgeon.
- Explain or show all your medication to your surgeon.
- Consider your temporary lack of arm mobility and prepare comfortable clothing. Bring button front or zipper shirts that are easy to take on and off.
If you’re wondering how long a brachioplasty takes to heal, it’s only 2 weeks before you can resume work and less strenuous activities. A compression garment will be required for 3 to 6 weeks to help your arms heal and produce your ideal results. You will need to sleep with your arms elevated by pillows for the first 72 hours and sleep on your back for 2 weeks after your surgery. Brachioplasty aftercare prohibits strenuous activities such as heavy lifting and weight-bearing exercise for these 2 weeks and driving is not allowed until 6 weeks post-surgery. After that time, you can start to gently incorporate your usual exercise and work activities but you should still avoid heavy lifting. Swelling may last for up to 6 months, but over time it will reduce, allowing you to see the best results.
Forearm swelling, or post-operative forearm oedema, is significant fluid build-up, particularly around the elbows. It may be painful, especially if your procedure is combined with liposuction. For your relief, you will be required to wear a compression garment or brachioplasty recovery sleeves for 4-6 weeks. The swelling will dissipate entirely after 6 months, then you will see the best results.
Brachioplasty pain depends on your individual pain threshold; some patients report level 5 out of 10, although it is far less for the majority of patients. Pain-relief medication will be prescribed to make you feel more comfortable, and of course, any pain or discomfort will dissipate within a few days to a couple of weeks.
Results depend on upon you maintaining your goal weight, or the same weight you were when you had your arm lift surgery. Arm lift surgery may last 10-15 years, possibly a lifetime. As you age your skin will naturally lose more elasticity. However, unless your weight fluctuates significantly, you shouldn’t have the same amount of loose skin that you experienced before your surgery.
A neck lift is a surgical procedure that reduces excess skin and fatty tissue by lifting the skin to improve the definition of the jawline and tautness of the neck area.
There is no set price for a neck lift procedure. However, in the USA it can cost around $6,000 to $12,000, around $5,000 to 15,000 in Canada, between £3500 to £5000 in the UK and around €5000 to €9,500 Euros in Germany.
If you’re wondering how much a neck lift costs, there is no set cost as it varies between surgeons, clinics and countries. For neck lift surgery costs in Australia, you can expect between $5000 to $8000, whereas neck lift surgery in UK costs around £3500 to £5000.

A neck lift can restore the appearance of tight, supple skin on the neck and reduce the appearance of ‘turkey-neck’. In general, a good candidate for neck lift surgery includes people who have:
- A double chin with loose skin
- Loss of volume and sagging in the cheeks and jawline
- Visible vertical bands (also known as platysmal bands) that hang from the chin towards the Adam’s apple area
- Moderate to severe appearance of neck creases caused by muscle weakening, collagen breakdown and prolonged sun exposure.
If you’re wondering how a neck lift is done, it’s a fairly short procedure that takes 2 to 3 hours and involves surgical incisions under general anaesthetic.
Prior to the surgery, you will have several phone and/or consultations with our team and a face-to-face consultation with your surgeon the day before your procedure. It is completely normal to experience some anxiety at this point, so our friendly team will ensure you are comfortable with your decision to proceed with your neck lift surgery.
The surgeon will mark your skin using a surgical marker to identify the incision points, areas of focus. You will undergo general anaesthetic and the surgeon will create incisions at the marked areas (around the hairline and under the chin). Liposuction of the area may be needed to remove any excess fat in the area. When the neck is slimmed, the neck muscle is tightened, possibly trimmed, and excess skin will be removed. The remaining tissue and skin will be draped and pulled taut along the neck and closed with sutures.
Neck lift surgery is performed under sedation with general anaesthetic. After your neck lift surgery, you will experience some soreness, tightness and swelling for around two weeks. This can be managed with pain-relief medication.
You can expect your neck lift to last around 10 to 15 years, although the skin will naturally sag over time.
Both men and women can benefit from neck lift surgery. It is most commonly performed on adults between 40 and 65 years old.

This is a non-invasive neck lift that helps reverse the signs of ageing along the lower face, jawline and neck. It requires no downtime and a minimal recovery period, although results are not long-lasting and you may require treatment every 6 months or more.

Wherever an incision is made, there will be a scar. The incisions around the face are around the hairline and ear and are generally small, hidden, heal well and fade over time. The scar under the chin from the neck procedure will fade over time as well. You can still wear your hair back, such as in a bun or ponytail, after your face and neck lift, although scars may be more visible wearing your hair this way, especially at first.
Swelling increases after surgery and can peak around day 5 or 6. After this, swelling should ease and you’ll find swelling should be gone around 4 weeks post-operation. You will see visible results in about 4 to 6 weeks and as swelling subsides over the following months, you will see the final effects around 6 months.

The results of your mummy makeover will last many years, but are not permanent. As we get older our bodies naturally change and our skin loses its elasticity. If you have further pregnancies and/or significant weight loss or weight gain the results of your mummy makeover can be affected. We recommend you maintain a healthy balanced diet and active lifestyle to maintain your results for as long as possible.
To get the best results from a mummy makeover, we recommend not being more than 10kg above your ideal weight.

Depending on the procedures performed, mummy makeover recovery is generally 4 to 6 weeks and 3 months to see the final results.
There is always scarring associated with surgery. An abdominoplasty, a breast lift and breast augmentation (breast implants) all involve some scarring but these generally heal very well and can be hidden by bras and bikini tops.
We recommend waiting until you have returned to your pre-pregnancy weight if possible. Ideally, we suggest waiting 12 months after you have given birth and around 6 months after you have finished breastfeeding so that the breasts may return to or settle into their new natural position.
Yes, the procedures can be safely combined. This is assuming you are in good medical health and have reputable and highly experienced plastic surgeons. Generally, three procedures are combined in a mummy makeover to minimise recovery downtime.

A ‘mummy makeover’ is a combination of procedures that aims to restore and rejuvenate your body after pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding. It generally involves three procedures:
- Breast surgery: often this is a breast lift, or breast augmentation (implants), or a breast lift with implants, or a breast reduction.
- Abdominal surgery: this is usually a tummy tuck, which involves the removal of loose and stretched skin and repairs your stretched muscles.
- Liposuction: to improve the shape and contour of your body. It is usually performed on the abdomen as well as other parts of the body.
Mummy makeover costs vary between surgeons, cities and countries.
As several procedures are involved in the mummy makeover surgery, it can be confusing to work out the total cost.
In Australia:
- Breast augmentation can be approximately $10,000.
- Abdominoplasty can be approximately $10,000 to $20,000
- Liposuction can be approximately $5000
A mummy makeover cost in Australia is around $25,000 to $35,000.
In the UK:
- Breast augmentation can be approximately £5,000 to £9,000
- Abdominoplasty can be approximately £5,000 to £9,000
- Liposuction can be approximately £2,000 to £6,000

Some of the benefits of a gastric band include:
- No invasive surgical treatment (the stomach is not cut)
- No surgical side effects
- Cheaper than other weight-loss surgeries
- Reversible (the band can be removed)
- No malabsorption issues
Some of the disadvantages of having a gastric band include:
- It will not work for everybody
- Less reliable weight loss
- Can cause ulcers or gastritis (irritated stomach lining)
- Slippage or movement of the band
- Reflux
A gastric band, or lap band, is designed to be a permanent fixture and can be monitored over time as necessary. Gastric bands may have complications as they age, for example around 15-20+ years. The lap band procedure is reversible, although the reversal procedure can have complications
Recovery or downtime from a gastric band is minimal. You will be up and about on the same day and many people resume normal activities (gentle walking exercise) a few afterwards. There may be some lingering pain after the operation but this can be managed by pain-relief medication.
We recommend taking a week off work. You will need to be on a liquid and mashed food diet for two to three weeks, although you should be able to eat normal foods around 6 weeks post-surgery. At around 4 weeks, you should be able to resume more vigorous exercise.
The lap band procedure involves the following risks:
- Band may gradually wear away (if so, it must be removed)
- Stomach may slip up through the band (if this happens, you may need urgent surgery)
- Gastritis, reflux, or stomach ulcers
- Infection
- Injury to the stomach or intestines during surgery
- Vomiting from eating more than the stomach pouch can hold
- Headache or nausea from anaesthesia
Although the operation is reversible, it is expected that a gastric band can be in place for most of a person’s life. When a gastric band is removed, you could regain some of the weight loss.
The usual reasons when a gastric band needs to be removed are:
- Severe heartburn that cannot be managed in other ways
- Band intolerance
- Infection which cannot be resolved with antibiotics
- Band slippage which cannot be solved in other ways,
- Problems with the oesophagus
A surgeon will perform a gastric band removal surgery similar to the original surgery (laparoscopically) which would take around 60 minutes.
Weight-loss results vary from patient to patient. You need to be committed to your new lifestyle and healthy eating habits to see great results. Gastric band surgery is not a miracle cure, so it is important to be disciplined and set achievable weight-loss goals.
On average, you can lose around 50% of your excess weight. This happens over time. For example, you may start with 0.5 – 1 kg weight loss per week and this will reduce over time. It’s important to lose weight gradually to avoid any health risks. You want long-term, sustainable weight loss that improves or resolves any of your previous weight-related health issues.
A gastric band works by making you feel full (satiated) on a smaller amount of food. If you follow the nutrition guidelines and chew your food well, you should not feel hungry.
Make sure you drink plenty of water and consume 3 small meals throughout the day as per your diet guidelines. You should try not to skip a meal.
Pregnancy after gastric band surgery and subsequent weight loss is possible and may be safer and more successful compared to an obese woman. However, keep in mind that you should allow your body 12 to 18 months to recover from your lap band surgery before you try to conceive. It’s important you tell your doctor and care team that you have a gastric band before or during your pregnancy as you may need to take extra vitamin supplements.
Yes. You may not get enough vitamins as you are only able to eat a small amount of food, meaning your body absorbs less vitamins and minerals. You will likely need to take vitamin and mineral supplements (such as iron, folate, vitamin B12, vitamin Din addition to eating a healthy, balanced diet.

✔ is more precise, as the ultrasound only removes the fat cells rather than whole areas of body tissue.
✔ is more gentle as it vibrates to loosen the fat cells, rather than breaking them.
✔ offers a quicker recovery due to less pain and discomfort after surgery.
✔ tightens the skin due to the healing process which causes collagen fibres to contract.
✔ allows for less downtime for recovery due to its minimally invasive nature.

UK vaser liposuction prices start from £2,500 to £6,000.
In Australia, vaser liposuction prices start from around $5,000.
With Asthetica, you can expect to pay at least 30% to 70% less for this procedure, without compromising on expertise, healthcare or your wellbeing. Simply contact us to find out more about vaser liposuction pricing and package options.
If you maintain your goal weight, the results of your vaser liposuction should last for the rest of your life. If you regain weight, the remaining fat cells in those areas that were treated may expand.
Unlike traditional liposuction which breaks through fatty tissue to remove fat cells, vaser liposuction is less invasive. Vaser stands for vibration amplification of sound energy at resonance, which means that intense sound vibrations awaken and liquify the fat cells away. While the technology is different to traditional liposuction the rest of the process is similar. After the area to be contoured is numbed, minor incisions are made, and a cannula is inserted to deliver high frequency sound waves which emulsify fat cells.
Recovery time is around 5 to 7 days and you should not undertake any strenuous activity during this time. You will need to wear a compression garment for 6 to 8 weeks and after this time, you should feel fully healed and recovered. You should be able to resume regular exercise and activities after 8 weeks, however your specialist will discuss your aftercare and recovery plan with you during your consultations.
How you sleep after vaser liposuction depends on which body parts were contoured. Your surgeon will advise you on safe sleeping positions specifically for you, as well as how to use pillows for added comfort during recovery.
You may be able to drive approximately 3 to 7 days after surgery. However, our surgeons will provide specific advice on timeframes for resuming activities like driving, working and exercise.
Recovery time varies based on your specific case and your surgeon’s advice. Here is a general guide on recovery times.
✔ Fluid leakage after vaser liposuction surgery is normal and expected. A series of thirty minute lymphatic drainage massages are usually carried out by physiotherapists according to your surgeon’s advice.
✔ Expect to rest for the first 5 to 7 days, with no vigorous activity. Pain and discomfort should diminish within 1 to 2 weeks.
✔ Most people can return to work after 1 to 2 weeks.
✔ Cannula incisions usually heal within 2 weeks. They may be stitched or glued, your surgeon will generally remove any stitches and change dressings after 72 hours.
✔ You’ll wear a compression garment for up to 8 weeks.
✔ Expect to be able to return to (your) usual strenuous activities after 3 weeks.
✔ Swelling will last for up to 6 weeks. Anticipate seeing the best results from 3 to 6 months after.
Our surgeons will provide specific recovery management and aftercare advice during your consultations.

- have a positive outlook and realistic expectations
- don’t smoke excessively
A tummy tuck is an operation where a cosmetic surgeon detaches stubborn hanging skin and flab from the stomach area. The surgeon re-attaches distended abdominal muscles from pregnancy or previous obesity. This operation is designed for people at their goal weight, it is not a weight loss surgery.
Yes. There are different kinds of tummy tuck procedures such as full tummy tuck and mini tummy tuck. Asthetica's cosmetic surgeons will recommend the best tummy tuck for your individual situation to achieve your desired outcome.
Depending on the type of tummy tuck operation best suited for you, your surgeon will advise you on the expected duration of your operation. It is likely that your surgery will take between 2 to 5 hours.
Prices differ according to the type of technique, including the extent of liposuction (if needed) and the amount of skin and fat removal.
In Australia, tummy tuck surgery prices can be $5,000 to $25,000. In the UK, a tummy tuck can cost £4,000 to £10,000.
Asthetica can curate your entire procedure at 30% to 70% less than what you’d pay at home. We have carefully selected the best cosmetic surgeons in Turkey and beyond, ensuring you receive ethical, expert service at affordable prices with no hidden extras. We bundle surgery, flights, five-star hotels, internationally accredited hospitals, private transfers and comprehensive aftercare to give you the best price and the best medical care. Find out more about our pricing and payment plans.
In contrast to other tummy tuck procedures, a mini tummy tuck is much less invasive if there is only a small amount of tissue to be removed. The surgeon enters via a small incision above the pubic area and surgically detaches flab and hanging skin. A mini tummy tuck does not require repositioning the belly button or stomach muscles. People who only have minimal amounts of hanging skin and excess fat get excellent results from this operation.
A tummy tuck and an abdominoplasty are not different. A tummy tuck is the popular conversational term and abdominoplasty is the surgical term.
Recovery time varies depending on the surgery you have. Usually, you can anticipate 2 to 6 weeks recovery time. Return to work is recommended 2 weeks after surgery. Complete recovery and best results are around 3 months after surgery.
A tummy tuck is a surgical procedure to remove apron shaped hanging skin around the abdomen that has lost its
elasticity. Depending on your needs, the belly button may be repositioned back to a higher position. Displaced muscles
will also be moved and sutured back to their original position.
Post-surgery you are likely to experience soreness, discomfort and queasiness. Your abdomen will be swollen and bruised, and there may be a tight pulling feeling. These sensations should subside in around 6 weeks. To aid your healing you will be required to wear a belly band or compression garment for 6 to 8 weeks. Our health practitioners will spend time with you to show you how to empty out your drains 3 times daily for 2 weeks.
Like with all surgeries, there are risks involved. Asthetica plan your trip meticulously to reduce any uncertainty and mitigate risks wherever possible. To alleviate any uncertainty, we partner with premium standard hospitals with expert, fully licensed and accredited surgeons. You will remain in the hospital or your hotel for around 5 days after your surgery. You will visit your surgeon for a follow-up consultation/s to check your recovery process. Once you return home, you’ll be provided with phone assistance by UK or Australian registered nurses for any additional aftercare questions you may have. We will assist with support you may need throughout your experience, including and after you return home.
A nose job or rhinoplasty is an operation to reshape the nose. People have nose job surgery to enhance their appearance or to improve their breathing, or both. The surgeon goes in by making an incision at the columella, the base of your nose which is the skin between your nostrils. Then the nasal flap is lifted and the surgeon reduces cartilage or inserts more cartilage from the ears, depending on what kind of nose job you desire. After that, the nasal flap is fixed back into place with sutures. The nose is bandaged and supported with a splint, this is removed after approximately 7 days.
You are a perfect candidate for a nose job if you:
✓do not like the shape of your nose and how it makes you feel
✓have breathing problems caused by a medical condition such as a deviated septum, swollen turbinates or a polyp
✓have a good understanding of surgery procedures and risks
✓are in good general health
✓are over 18
The biggest benefit of a nose job for most people is an immense boost to self-image and self-confidence. Better and more comfortable breathing can be another major benefit.
Nose jobs can be combined with different surgeries. For instance, it is common for surgeons to package a facelift with a nose job.
Getting a nose job abroad saves a significant amount of money without compromising on your healthcare. With Asthetica, you can save up to 50% of the cost compared to having surgery at home. Our nose job packages include surgery, all hospital and anaesthetist fees, internationally accredited hospitals, five-star accommodation, return flights, private transfers and more.
A nose job is the informal word for the medical term ‘rhinoplasty’. A rhinoplasty is the general term for any type of
surgery to change the shape of the nose.
Surgery time depends on a person’s individual needs and desired outcome. Usually, a nose job operation takes 1 to 2 hours.
A nose job costs around £3,000 to £7,000 in the UK, or $5,000 to $10,000 in Australia. With Asthetica, you can save 30% to 70%, even with the flights, accommodation, transfers, and hospital fees included. Book a free, no-obligation call with our team to find out how we can help you.
Expect bruising and swelling for the first week. The bandage and splint is removed after 7 days. You can work immediately if your work doesn’t require strenuous activity. Complete recovery takes around six weeks.
Nose jobs are safely performed all over the world every day. Follow your surgeon’s instructions regarding aftercare to get the best result. Asthetica goes to great lengths to source world-class experts and highly reputable hospitals and clinics to ensure your experience is as smooth and seamless as possible. Upon return to your home country, you will have phone access to Australian and UK registered nurses for any additional aftercare support.
A nose job operation changes the shape of the nose and brings more balance to the face. There are several types of nose job operations. For a reduction rhinoplasty, or a nose job to lessen the size of the nose, the surgeon opens up the nose from the septum or the base of the nostrils. The nasal bone is shaved to create the desired size then the nose is checked for symmetry and balance and sutured together. Your surgeon will discuss the details of the surgery, based on your existing shape and desired outcome, at your consultation.
The first three days following nose job surgery are the most uncomfortable. When you awaken, expect not to breathe through your nose but through your mouth. You will wake up with your nose bandaged, an external splint and maybe an internal splint too. Bruising and swelling are also to be expected during the first week. You will start to feel more comfortable after 5 to 7 days.
A boob job, or breast augmentation, is an operation where silicone or saline implants are placed under the breast muscle to create more voluminous breasts.
Yes. There are various types boob jobs, however the most common is breast augmentation to enlarge the breasts.
Other breast operations:
✓lift and reposition the breasts
✓reduce the size of the breasts
✓remove the breasts entirely.
Surgery time always differs based on the patient’s specific needs. Generally, a boob job operation takes 1 to 2 hours.
Prices for boob jobs differ based on the type of surgery you have along with which city the surgery is performed.
UK boob job could cost up to £7,000 and the cost of a boob job in Australia can cost around $15,000.
Boob job costs abroad save you a small fortune, and included in the price is undisturbed downtime in a five-star luxury hotel for optimum recovery. Example prices are tabled below.

A boob job is a more popular and colloquial term for a breast augmentation. A boob job and a breast augmentation are the same thing - an operation to enlarge the size of the breasts using artificial implants or fat from the patient’s own body.
Your surgeon will establish your recovery time based on your overall health and the type of procedure you undertake. Typically, your can return to work after seven days assuming your work is not strenuously physical. You can return to everyday activities, such as your usual exercise routine, after around six weeks. Your surgeon will give you more specific recovery and aftercare advice.
Generally, it is recommended that implants be replaced approximately every ten to twenty years. Saline implants are typically safer than silicone implants - in the unlikely event that an implant ruptures, saline will not harm bodily tissues or fluids. Asthetica plans all of the specifics of your experience to mitigate any possible risks. Asthetica’s comprehensive packages include local aftercare support on your return, with phone access to UK and Australian registered nurses for your convenience and assurance.
Blepharoplasty is a type of eyelid surgery to remove excess skin that hangs under the eyebrow bone and over the
eye. This surgery is undertaken for aesthetic or functional reasons or both. Many people prefer to have the extra
tissue detached to give a less tired and fresh, younger look. For some patients, the removal of the tissue enables
better peripheral vision. This surgery can be combined with lower blepharoplasty (lower eyelid surgery).
Yes. There are two main types of blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery.
- Upper blepharoplasty, or upper eyelid surgery is an operation for hanging eyelids or ‘hooded eyes’. Superfluous fat, skin and muscle is reshaped which leaves youthful and rejuvenated eyes. As the incision is made in the natural crease of the eye, scarring is barely visible.
- Lower blepharoplasty, or lower eyelid surgery, is carried out inside of the eye at the eyelash line to remove fatty tissue below the eye. The result is smooth skin that is no longer puffy on the underside of the eye. Scarring is not visible due to the surgery being performed inside the eye.
Upper blepharoplasty, or upper eyelid surgery, is the extraction of redundant hanging skin above the eyes and under the brows. To confirm your expectations, the surgeon identifies the incision areas (where the skin will be removed and possibly tightened) with a dermatologically-suitable marker pen. Skin is numbed and you’ll go under general anaesthetic. The surgeon makes the incision in the eye crease and takes away unwanted skin and fat or the ‘hoods’ of the eyes. After the procedure is complete the incision is closed by using sutures or surgical glue. The scarring is not noticeable as it sits in the natural crease of the eye.
Lower blepharoplasty, or lower eyelid surgery, is the removal of droopy hanging skin under the eyes. The surgeon marks up your face with a marker and verifies the procedure and the expected result. Numbing cream is applied to the skin, then you’re put under general anaesthetic. The surgeon doesn’t go through the outer skin but instead pulls the lower eyelid down and makes an internal incision inside the eye. Unwanted fat is removed, and the incision is closed with stitches that dissolve. As the incision is internal there is no scarring.
Once the blepharoplasty procedure is complete, you’ll awaken and sense some swelling and numbness. You may also have the appearance of 'black eyes' and may feel some discomfort or pain (for which you'll receive pain-relief medication). At first, your eyes will be bandaged so you will not be able to see but don't worry, the medical staff are very attentive and will take exceptional care of you. Your eyes may also feel itchy and the skin will feel tight. When the bandages are later taken off, you may have temporary light sensitivity and blurry vision. Most people return to work within a fortnight of surgery. Swelling and bruising will disappear within three months and then you will see your desired result.
Upper blepharoplasty results can remain for 5-7 years.
Lower blepharoplasty or lower eyelid surgery can last for life.
Blepharoplasty surgery times vary based on every person’s eye shape. On average, eyelid surgery can take 1 to 2 hours.
Everyone has unique needs and this means there will likely be slight surgical variations, especially if your surgeon is repositioning skin around the eye. The standard recovery time is between 1 to 3 months. Most people resume working and socialising again after two weeks. Your surgeon will advise you appropriately as to when and how you can resume your normal activities again.
It is common for UK blepharoplasty surgery to cost between £3000 to £6500.
Blepharoplasty cost in Australia averages around $2500 to $4500, but this can cost up to $8000.
We can save you up to 50% on the price, which even includes your return flights, accommodation, private transfers and aftercare. Our surgeons are highly skilled, filled licensed and board-certified and extensively experineced.

- Upper blepharoplasty - our surgeon will make an incision via the natural crease in the eye, this will leave a scar that is barely noticeable and will fade over time.
- Lower blepharoplasty - our surgeon performs this procedure by creating an incision at the lash line so there is no external scarring.
Clients opt for gastric sleeve surgery as they may have tried many methods to lose weight, including diets, appetite suppressants, support groups, food delivery companies and powder and meal bar supplements without success. If you’ve tried many types of weight loss products and methods over the years and have not succeeded, perhaps it’s time to think about a long-term solution like bariatric (weight loss) surgery, such as a gastric sleeve procedure.
Gastric sleeve surgery involves the surgical team using state-of-the-art robotic technology to make 3 to 5 small incisions in the lower abdominal area. The surgeon then removes between 75% to 80% of the stomach. The stomach is then sutured back up into a small tubular, or sleeve shape, with about 200 titanium staples. You will need to stay in the hospital and hotel for a few days and recovery takes around 4 to 6 weeks. Most patients can return to work after 2 weeks.
Coupled with long-term healthy food and beverage choices, patients can maintain a long-lasting healthy weight and BMI.
Recovery time varies from patient to patient. Generally, you can resume normal activities after a week. Most people go back to work around 2 to 3 weeks after surgery, assuming you have a job that is not physically demanding, e.g., sitting at an office desk. If the work is more strenuous, your surgeon will advise you when you can safely commence a return to work. You may need to have light duties for the first few weeks.
For the first 4 weeks, you will need to stick to a liquified or pureed food diet but should be able to eat more solid food at around 6 weeks post-surgery.
Around 6 weeks after surgery is when you should feel well recovered.
Risks and complications are possible in any surgery.
The risks of a sleeve gastrectomy (gastric sleeve) include leaks at the staple line or bleeding. However, less than 1% of patients experience these complications.
There is also a risk of bleeding (also less than 1% risk), infection, blood clots, reaction to anaesthesia, reflux, hernias and malnutrition. Your surgeon will discuss potential complications with you and, like with any surgery, you should ensure you are fully informed before deciding to undertake the procedure.
Pain always depends on your individual threshold and if any pain is experienced from this procedure, it is likely to be from the incision sites. Some clients report no pain, while some report moderate pain.
Your surgeon and medical team will monitor your pain levels and make sure you have pain medication to alleviate any discomfort you might experience.
Asthetica goes above and beyond other medical tourism providers, as we provide an extra level of care and reassurance. On your return home, you will have phone access to UK or Australian registered nurses so you have the peace of mind of local, medical support if and when you need it.
For gastric sleeve cost UK, you are looking at £7,995 to £11,000.
Gastric sleeve cost in Australia depends on whether you are going public (Medicare) or private.
- With private insurance - gastric sleeve cost in Australia is around $4,000 to $6,000.
- Without private insurance - gastric sleeve cost in Australia is around $16,000 to $18,000 (not including Medicare rebates).
However, we can package your sleeve gastrectomy procedure and save you up to 70% on the cost compared to the UK and Australia.

Your surgeon will provide you with instructions before your surgery.
To prepare for the procedure, you'll need to follow a specific diet for two weeks prior. This strict diet will reduces your calorie intake as well as carbohydrates and you will primarily eat lean protein, vegetables, and low- or no-calorie fluids. In addition, you may be required to go on a meal shake replacement diet.
There are two reasons for this:
- To shrink your liver so your surgeon has easier access to your stomach
- To ensure the best success of surgery
You will be expected to lost around 2 to 6 kilograms prior to your gastric sleeve surgery.
Yes. If you don’t follow the advice of the medical team, gastric sleeve surgery can fail.
Failure can mean not achieving or being able to maintain around 50% of the weight loss over an 18 to 24 month period or a body mass index (BMI) of more than 35.
There are several factors for failure and one of these is the failure of patients being able to adapt to the new lifestyle. With the support of your surgeon, local healthcare providers (e.g. GP) and if necessary, a psychologist or counsellor, the possibility of failure is reduced. It's important you have sufficient support to ensure long-term success.
Gastric sleeve is a very successful method of combatting obesity and the success rate is over 70%.
Gastric sleeve surgery is a tool for weight loss and not a ‘magic cure’.
However, if you follow your surgeon’s instructions and make healthy food choices you should have good long-term results and be able to maintain a healthy weight.
